BMW Group Academy UK
Opened in May 2006, the BMW Group Academy UK based in Wokefield Park is a new purpose-built training and development facility. Costing in the region of £17 million, it incorporates 32 bay workshops with 10 attached theoretical training rooms, 15 training rooms and BMW, MINI and motorcycle showrooms to simulate a working dealer environment. Each training room uses the latest high tech training equipment.
The facility also features a dedicated apprentice training area with its own residential accommodation and a separate clubhouse for the intake of between 160-170 apprentices per year. There is a learning library, gym, internet café, lounge, and games areas for the apprentices to enjoy.
The training schemes offered will continue to ensure BMW has the best technicians in the industry. BMW already has one of the best retention rates of staff in the industry.
