Decisions Decisions Lesson Plans
Decisions, Decisions introduces the different strategies students might need when they are travelling on their own or with their peers. This section looks at how students should deal with certain situations and prepares them for the challenges they could face when out and about. We would recommend that the Road Facts section is completed before undertaking Decisions, Decisions.
To help teachers use Cool Wayz lesson plans are provided for each of the five Road Facts topics.
Route Planner
This shows students how to plan the best route to travel to and from school. Particular road safety messages that students should be aware of to help them become 'road-wise' are detailed.

Travel-wise
Travelling by public transport is usually quite an easy way to travel. However, students should realise that there are hazards and dangers to watch out for and it helps to plan to avoid them. It also shows students what to do if things go wrong.
Red Alert
Here we demonstrate to students how thinking ahead of what to do in dangerous or unusual circumstances can help them to react quickly and deal with a situation before it becomes a major problem. This section offers tips and common sense advice for situations students might find themselves in.
Witness
Students are told what to do if they find themselves witnessing an incident. Being prepared to act as a witness will help them to offer the best assistance they can in this type of situation.
