Future energy

We have seen how the world's need for energy continues to grow and that one day fossil fuels may run out so we need to find alternative renewable sources of energy. But there's an even bigger reason that we need to look at renewable energy.

The more we do, the more we travel and the more goods we produce, the more fossil fuels we use and the more we pollute our world. As a result of pollution from fossil fuels, scientists are warning us that the temperature of the Earth is rising. This is what we call global warming, which is leading to climate change.

We need to try to find cleaner sources of energy for the future to reduce or stop the pollution of planet Earth. BMW, with its CleanEnergy programme, is helping to do this by looking at renewable clean energy from hydrogen.

In this section we look at the effects of global warming and what we can do to reduce pollution and prevent climate change.
