Energised introduces the fascinating world of energy by looking at what energy is and how we use energy, past, present and future. Energised helps students explore key issues relating to renewable and non-renewable energy and how our current use of energy can affect our world as a result of climate change.

Energised is divided into four sections, with each section providing fun and simple information sheets and activities to help pupils learn more about energy. The activities include worksheets, experiments, word games, creative writing and design exercises that can be downloaded, using the links below, in an accessible format for use in the classroom.

Aimed at 7-11 year old pupils and their teachers, Energised has been developed for use in Literacy, ICT, Science, Geography, Art and Design, PSHE/PSD/PSE/PD&MU and Citizenship.

Energised Competition 2008

Throughout May and June, primary school pupils aged 7 to 11 were invited to participate in the Energised Competition by answering four questions about energy and, as a tie-breaker, composing a poem entitled ‘The Sun’.
