About Formula BMW
Formula BMW is a programme designed to help young and talented karters aged 15-25 to make the transition from karting to single-seater racing. The main purpose underlying the series is to provide a racing environment that offers equal and fair opportunities to win, both at an affordable cost and in compliance with all safety requirements.
These days it takes more than just talent to become a professional racing car driver. Today's successful driver has a wide range of functions: they need to be an engineer, a sportsperson, a mechanic and a media professional. The Formula BMW Education and Coaching Programme teaches the young drivers all these necessary fundamentals: driving techniques, tactics, chassis setup, fitness training, nutrition, media training and sponsorship.
Many of the lessons learnt by the young drivers are applicable to all of us in our everyday lives. This resource concentrates on the key skills from the Formula BMW Education and Coaching Programme and demonstrates how they are relevant to all students.
