Parents GuideSafe on the Street is an interactive web-based resource for 7-11 year olds. It can be used both at home and in school.The Pupils section contains:Road Safety Tips (Be Seen, Cycle Safely, In Car Safety, and On the Road) These contain interesting pieces of information that can help children with the activities as well as increase their road safety knowledge. Activities Interactive activities varying in complexity and degree of difficulty. You can decide which ones are suited to your child's age and ability. The aim of these activities is to help children become familiar and confident using a computer, while they are learning about keeping 'Safe on the Street'. You can let your child do the activities on their own, helping as needed. Quizzes You may want to encourage your child to try the quizzes first, before doing the activities, and again later. This way, they can see for themselves how much they've learned. Picture Bank This is a resource available to children to download onto their own computers and use for school work or just for fun. These pictures are grouped under different topics to make searching easier and they are suitable to be used with both PC and Mac computers. |
