Teaching by Example
Younger children learn by imitating others - especially their parents |
| |
Always set a good example to your child whenever you are out together:
- walking
- crossing the road
- or traveling in the car
| |
Older children are influenced by their peers and tend to ignore any advice that makes them feel or look 'babyish' |
| |
It is very important to "Practice what you Preach":
- Discuss safety issues with them in a logical way.
- Explain reasons for actions, potential dangers and possible outcomes.
