Teaching by Example

Younger children learn by imitating others - especially their parents

Always set a good example to your child whenever you are out together:

  • walking
  • crossing the road
  • or traveling in the car

Older children are influenced by their peers and tend to ignore any advice that makes them feel or look 'babyish'

It is very important to
"Practice what you Preach":

  • Discuss safety issues with them in a logical way.
  • Explain reasons for actions, potential dangers and possible outcomes.
