Using this Site

There are three main areas to the Safe on the Street Site.

1. Pupils
Pupils can access the following sections directly:

Road Safety Tips (Be Seen, Cycle Safety, In Car Safety and On the Road)
Main safety points and interesting, comprehensive pieces of information which can help the children with their activities.

Activities
A range of interactive activities varying in complexity and difficulty, where children learn valuable road safety messages whilst practicing their computer skills.

Quizzes
Quizzes enable children to test their general knowledge, either individually or in groups.

Picture Bank
A wide range of downloadable images for the children to use with any extension activities/work.

2. Teachers
In this section we provide you with an outline of the pupils' activities and how they fit into the curriculum and basic road safety information.

The Resource Bank provides a wealth of support material: activity worksheets for class or for home, downloadable pictures, charts and information, vocabulary lists, pupil assessment forms and a template letter for parents.

3. Parents
We believe that parental support can enhance the valuable work you do in class, so we hope the 'template' letter to parents, available in the Resource Bank, will provide a prompt for them to assist you.
